I was hoping that we could get as many of the DC members of the message forum to meet for lunch on Monday, January 17. That is Martin Luther King Day, a Federal Holiday so hopefully most will have it off and traffic won't be as bad. I would like to meet at Annie's Paramount Steak House near Dupont Circle at 1609 17th Street, NW. If you are unfamiliar with Annie's, one web-site describes it as "straight-friendly" which I think is hysterical. The food is good and it has a very broad menu so everyone can find something to their liking to eat. And between the wait staff and the other patrons, the eye candy can be nice too. I would like to meet about 11:15 (which means 11:30 really but try for 11:15). I know of 4 or 5 people already so it will be nice to meet others on the forums, including several out of town guests who will be there.

 

So let me know if you can attend. I hope as many of you from the DC metro area can make it. Maybe we can consider it an unofficial satellite event of the Palm Springs weekend two months later.

 

Hope to see as many of you there as possible.

As a relatively new person here, I would love to attend. How will I know you all when I get there.

Countryboy -- think of our lunch as a trial run -- Heck 2/3 of our lunch should be at the DC lunch. Let's see, who will be missing. I'm thinking here. Oh yeah. YOU!!!

So now we have 3 guys coming from more 100 miles to the luncheon, including 2 guys from the state of New York. I'm certain that there are few more people from DC on the forums. I'd encourage you to join us. It'll be great to meet people and put faces to the name. Hope to see you there.

No one has mentioned that this will be Mid Atlantic Leather weekend, which means that DC is more interesting than usual. Usuaully there are still quite a few guys in leasther padding around on Monday. MAL usually is based at the Washington Plaza on Thomas Circle, with a spillover of guests and events at the other hotels in the area.

I've been a member of this forum for 3 years and realize I've only interacted with a couple of people here (outside of posting to threads). I live in DC as well.

Well dcguy, we'd love to have you at lunch. I mean if countryboywny can fly in from Buffalo just for lunch, it makes my drive from Richmond seem like chump change. That and Annie's does have some nice eye candy. And the guys who are already coming are nice and fun, and it'd fun to meet some of the people who post here. Sort of an early kick off the Palm Springs Weekend. So what do you say? Let me know. PM if you want to. But hope to see you.
