How can I tell if things here are crap or if its just Christmas?

Ok, I know we are just days away from Christmas...but I am not busy at all lately. It seems like people have temporarily stopped hiring. So its hard for me to tell whether the issue is my area (I haven't worked in Florida in nearly 2 years, and I've never actually worked in this particular town before either) or if its just the holidays and funds are tied up.

 

I told my friend who lives here that I'll give the area til the end of the month to see if it works out, and if not then I'm not going to stay. But its seemingly hard for me to make that decision because it may just be the time of year.

 

What's your status at the moment?

I don't know about Florida or the particular city you are in, but speaking for myself and a few close friends, this is not a very busy time for hiring. There are just to many obligations to family and friends, office parties, obligatory gifts, etc. that there isn't much cash left for the usual fun times. I hope that the escorts who post here will reply, as they would have a much better picture of the situation.

Joey I agree with Diverdan on this subject. December is "family and friends" month. Even many of us who are not married or have children are involved in giving and attending holiday festivities. I, for example, give five parties in December and attend, at least, an equal number. With all this coming and going there simply is time or money to do much hiring.

 

I remember once reading that in the day when brothels existed the madams always give Christmas Eve and New Years Eve parties for their girls so they wouldn't be alone. This was because their clients were with family on Christmas Eve and they took their wives out on New Years Eve.

 

I would bet that thing will begin to pick up for you around the middle of January. Have a Merry Christmas and a VERY Prosperous New Year.

I agree. I am meeting my friends and families, and attending holiday parties. I have two or three obligations just this week and one seminar to give even though I'm on my vacation. What about taking a break yourself too.. Go for a short trip or spend time with your family or shopping!!! I did most of my christmas shopping and I will be broke if I spend like this everyday. On top of that, this is colds and flu season. I had been planning to do some hiring in December when i saw the calendar actually opening up a little for some free time -- a difficulty for me -- but then get hit with a cold early in the month and am just getting over it. I really don't feel sexy when my head is congested and my nose is dripping and my throat is scratchy... and that's a time I shouldn't be hiring, since I don't want to spread anything. This seems to happen most Decembers.

Well when you're in upstate NY it's difficult to judge the lull time or just no one around. Me, who has to live in upstate NY, keep hoping for traveling boys to be around and I'm glad to use my holiday cheer funds to have some fun. To me, it's

Year's I like someone with me, not sure if I'm the only one but it's that time of year. So all of you traveling

Yeah it can be tough and I try to be near friends and family during this time of year, hence my reasoning for being in Florida in the 1st place. Thanks for the well wishes...

True, I had a nasty one right after Thanksgiving. I lost my voice for 3 days because of it. I contribute it from going from 27 degrees to 70 in a matter of hours.

I'm in the Tampon/St. Peter area...When I lived here back in High School there was lots of hiring going on around this time of year; in RETAIL! Never again!

Speaking for myself, I am on my last business trip for 2010 and while I usually hire on trips, this one is impossible since unlike the other trips I have to attend 6 nighty parties in three days!!

 

Hang in there Joey since one day you and I will be in the same city and you are top on my list of future fun.
