Montreal over Labor Day Weekend

The weather was perfect the whole time, low 70s and sunny. The Hotel des Gouverneurs was filled with hundreds of good looking and well built young guys in town for softball and tennis tournaments. Major international film festival. "Village Festival" on Saturday and Sunday; they blocked off Ste. Catherine from St. Hubert to Papineau. A number of restaurants and bars put tables out into the center of the street and lots of people set up tables and booth to sell stuff. Best people watching ever.

 

Good news. Nirvana is now totally equal to older stripper bars. The room is really large, so they have more customers than anyone else. Nice tables and comfy chairs all over. Big square stage in center of room so viewing is good from all over. Friendly and efficient waiters. Twenty dancers on Friday night, all nice to look at and good entertainers. Brandon (nice body and smile) performed with a purple dildo and gave patrons at stage side close-ups. The audience loved it. Many dancers from Stock, Campus, and Taboo have migrated here. Nice bunch. Recommend Tommy, Brandon, Kevin, and Bruce.

 

New Stock has bar open for a few hours, but all entertainment is at the old location. They eliminated the afternoon dancers at old place, so all the not-hugely-muscular guys lost their jobs (and migrated elsewhere). Night times now feature only heavily muscled guys. Christopher is the smallest of the lot. (But a lovely small lot!) Rumor is that Stock will not be allowed to occupy new site. The man who owns Stock also owns Campus and his casual attitude toward regulations and laws has irritated the authorities, and they will not grant the license needed.

 

Campus during the afternoon was fun. On Thursday there were 15 afternoon dancers! so it was a buyer's market. Dancers offered almost everything to get customers; I went further and deeper than ever before. Jacob and Nicolas were outstanding. Calvin can be fun, but he has limits. Derek is great.

 

Adonis is better than in quite a while. Dano is magnificent to look at, but has limits. Martin was good, and Vladimir is always good. Eric/Andre was so wired he was nearly bouncing off the walls. He uses a tall glass of water, dips his cock in repeatedly, and then drinks the water.

 

Taboo was at its best. Lots of really cute, friendly guys who are very accommodating. Maxim was marvelous, Rafael was great, James is sheer delight, Diego and Bruno give good dances, Sylvester is the cutest little twink you ever saw and does a wonderful private to look at, although he has limits. Tommy was back and Francis and Pierre Luc give good privates. Mickey was outstanding in every way and geat fun.

 

American gays have come to recognize the special scene and prices in Montreal. A number of American gays have now bought condos at very good prices in Montreal and invite a couple of dancers to live with them. This is not a primary residence. When they are not there, the dancers can live there and take care of if. Several of the most popular dancers at Taboo have such arrangements. Sometimes low rent is asked of the dancers, sometimes personal favors, you work it out. American sugar daddies (SDs) have also learned they can take on a cute Taboo dancer for three or four weeks and take them to Florida or California or Paris. Cost is expenses and spending money, but not the high weekend prices of American escorts. Often sex is not involved, but the fun of having this cute boy-toy with you. Tommy has been especially popular. He just came back from a month in California with a SD. I talked with a man who took Tommy to Florida last winter for three weeks. He had great fun, but Tommy proved a little expensive, buying lots of clothes and electronic toys. But the system seems to work well; the boys get a chance for a nice all expenses paid vacation trip to a nice place, and the SD gets the chance to show off a very pretty bilingual boy in restaurants, bars, theaters, beaches.

And I agree that Nirvana is the up and comer (and this from a die-hard Taboo dweller). In fact, one night when I was hanging out with the Taboo kids who were not working on that given night, they all decided to go to Nirvana as customers. And like everyone else, they would hire the ones that attracted them to private dances. It was quite an interesting sidelight to the Montreal culture, strippers hiring strippers.

I started my own "Montreal Scene" thread here last night and I don't want to butt in :-) here, but I'm still trying to figure out the deal. So, you've got the "public" dances and the "privates." My impression of reading reviews of the privates is that it's a little more close-up and with some touching, etc., but that's it. When I read this review, I got the impression that privates can involve a lot more. Does anyone want to clarify this for me? Had an opening in my schedule to be in Montreal last night. Stayed at the Governeur. Skipped Stock. Nirvana was just opening. Adonis was abandoned. Campus was packed in late afternoon/evening with the young guys. Wonderful at the bar. Hands on, touching, feeling, which I love, plus a little kiss or so. Lap dances, I gave $10 American for one dance, which , therefore, included more than ever. Taboo, where I actually went to hoping Vincent would be there, was again truly hospitable and gracious with lovely lovely stunning young smooth hoties. Jeremy, something else.
