Matthew Shepard Anniversary

Today is the 12th anniversary of the death of Matthew Shepard.

 

A friend of mine sent me this link. A knit scarf with a particular pattern was created in honor of Matthew. My friend has knit several of the scarves and given them as gifts. Instructions are free, and the pattern is beautiful.

By all accounts, Matthew was a good, decent person full of life and promise. How could anyone take such a young life in such a brutal way? It was purely evil and hatred. Let us never forget.
