Ever since I started in this biz, I've tried to find trends in the data. Does business correlate to weather patterns, welfare payments, the Nikkei average...? Of course it's pretty useless to try and identify trends when studying only one data point (my earnings over time rather than, say, those of dozens of escorts), but the singular pattern that seems to always hold true is that August is relatively weak and September is much better. This has been true both in SF and NYC. The rest of the year is a crap shoot, but I thought this would be an interesting observation to pass along.

Maybe it's the start of football season that gets our testosterone up. When I see a bunch of guys in pads playing grab-ass and slamming in to one another.... Excuse me, I need to make a phone call.

September in NYC ... Fashion Week. Could it be that it brings many gay out-of-towners to the city? Do you see a similar pattern during Pride Week in NYC? Or when there is a Black Party? I was just curious about that ...

No discernible pattern. I tend to think that pride gets slow (buying the cow vs. getting it for free), but again there are no certainties that I can see. Same around black weekend, other than that late Sunday night/ Monday morning may get some phone calls.
