Well having been schooled by nuns and brothers... and having been almost excommunicated by a priest who at the time was... well I won't go there... This was beyond hilarious!!!

By the way... do any of you guys who were similarly schooled remember the phrase... "The near occasion of sin"??? Well, I think we have all graduated to being way beyond that!

This is really funny. It reminded me of when the nuns lined us up in the gymn once a month, and you went into the confessional whether you needed it or not! One day I told the priest "I made my mother swear" and he roared out loud - he thought it was so funny! At recess, everyone wanted to know what I said to make him laugh so much ...

Consequently, I was always looking for something dastardly to confess... Once when a group of kids were playing around, the girl next door slipped, fell, and broke her arm... We were both about 11. It was really not my fault, but I did feel guilty. So, when I went to confession I told the priest that I had, "Hurt a girl..." Well, he started asking all sorts of questions regarding exactly what I had done to "hurt" her... Questions that I did not quite understand... until I was a bit older that is...
