"Cozmos" in Fort Lauderdale

COZMOS is the very nice new (6 months old) male stripper bar in Fort Lauderdale. It is located at 2800 E. Oakland Park Blvd and has lots of free, safe parking in front. There are a number of good restaurants (Cuban, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, French bistro, American) within 50 yards along Oakland Park Blvd.

 

The bar has two rooms. The Piano Bar on the west opens at 6:00 p.m. and is a long narrow barroom with an attractive bar (and bartenders) and a raised platform at the far end with a piano. During the week, someone plays and sings from 6-9 p.m. Happy Hour is 6-9 and all drinks are 2 for 1. This room does not have music piped in, and the sound from the main room is muffled. So it is possible to have a quiet conversation on this side, then move to the other side for more entertainment.

 

At 9:00 they open the entrance to the large dance bar room which is on the east, and the dancers appear. There is no cover charge during the week; for weekends, I am not sure. This room has been completely remodeled and is very attractive. On the south side, up three steps, is the large bar all along the wall, so you can sit at the bar if you like. On the east side is a long stage where drag performances and "male revues" are presented on weekends.

 

In the center of the room are three low platforms where dancers perform. They also perform on the stage on weekends. Around the three platforms, in a large open square, are eight leather couches with small endtables for drinks, so customers can sit and talk with each other or with non-dancing boys while watching the performers. Behind the sofas are a number of raised bar stools and small tables so customers can also sit here and watch and talk. There are also sofas back against the walls. These areas are in dimmer lighting.

 

From 9:00 - midnight, at least during the week, all domestic beers and well drinks are only $2. So the drinks are a great bargain. Between the two bar rooms, in a long corridor-like space, are three areas for lap dances, each completely surrounded by drapes. Each has two comfortable seats and an end table for placing your drink. Lap dances are $25.

 

The night I visited there were a number of young and attractive and friendly dancers, including Tyler, Tim, Arturo, Phoenix, Danny, Rico, James, and Mark. Most were twinks, although two guys were heavily muscled.

 

It's a very nice place to spend a pleasant evening and well worth a visit.
