Question about improper employment documents..

My gardner has been missing for 2 months now and wonder what happened to him. Couldn't get in touch with him or anything.. He is a hot mexican(makes me sweat when he works on my garden) went home for vacation to see his family. He was supposed to be back by the end of last May. He called a week before his arrival that he would be back. He hasn't come back. I tried several immigrant lawyers to find out what is going on but to no use. There is no way that he could be in jail or things like that since he had proper documents.. He has a US sponsor and he is a legal foreign worker. I am really worried about him. What could have possibly happened to him.. He has done a better job than any gardner I've hired. I hope he is ok.. Is it normal for foreigners to be detained for an extended period of time in jail, at least they can call their employers or lawyers right?

He probably just decided to stay in Mexico with his family? The same thing happened to me - almost exactly. My part-time gardener (he came once a month) just up and left and I never heard from him again. Phone shut off for a couple of months before I stopped trying. Someone else that used him also said that they couldn't reach him. These things happen. One day I'll keel over, stop posting here, and no one will know what happened. No one will really care either, but that's another matter.

I think that could happen in allot of cases with dealing with people online.if i dropped dead tomorrow know one would ever know..
