Thoughts on a Proposal for Reviews Here at Daddys

I have copied this from another thread about hiring Bi Guys....

I'm interested in your opinions about reviews and what might be done to make them more helpful...this assumes that the reviews are true and well intentioned....

********************************************************

I understand where you are coming from...And agree to a degree about some reviews. What makes it easy to write a good review after a positive experience with a guy is the fact that the entire review is free form and does not put any framework around the experience.

Becasue my own experiences have been very positive for me, my reviews reflect that opinion. Could my experiences have been better? Of course. Would someone else find the same experience to be just as positive?Maybe and Maybe not.

In the reading of reviews we are not comparing apples to apples. If I don't mention the guy recipricating in one of my reviews, does that mean he didn't or does is mean I didn't mention it?

I don't suspect that many here will agree but I think the reviews might be more helpful for everyone if there were a small survey style section up front..with room for comments, followed by the usual free text portion....

That way every review discloses or works from the same data points and still gives the reviewer a good chance to describe his experience....

Just my thoughts.

Interesting proposal

If I understand you correctly there should be a check-box section regarding attributes and certain activities... activities that often reviewers are often loath to overtly discuss in the actual body of their review. As of now a portion of that upper pre-review section reads... and I have cut and paste the following: (emphasis mine)

"For the Escorts Physical Information please give us the information as he advertises it."

"For Escorts Activities be sure to give us the information as he advertises it. Note: You must check one of the "Roles" checkboxs."

Perhaps it should read:

For escort physical information and activities please give us the information as you experienced it...

After all we can all go to a Rentboy ad or Website and read what is advertised... what is really important is if the ad replicates reality.

yes. I was thinking of a 1 to 5 rating perhaps with a N/A option if it did not take place.....If more simple, a yes/no could work as well and maybe be easier for the reviewer.

I brought this up because my reviews while very acurate to my experience, never includes what didn't happen and maybe others assume that it is just not mentioned....(i.e., I have had several sessions without anal, others with it...if it is not something that took place it might be helpful for the reader to know if it was my descision or if the escort simply does not offer it....

Good idea.

Perhaps a new rating schema where there is a brief comment line to qualify the rating....The current ratings have 2 Positive and 2 nagative without an easy way to make a statement about what is chosen....

Maybe also a place to list chemistry as a motivating factor in the rating?

Thses are just random thoughts and I'm sure many more experienced guys here could opine ..maybe the consensus is that the review template is okay....I just find that it is hard sometimes to know what services the escort is great at vs okay.....providing a rating for that would really be helpful to me....

Let's work on this...

Perhaps a new rating schema... I just find that it is hard sometimes to know what services the escort is great at vs okay.....providing a rating for that would really be helpful to me....

Actually it would be nice to have some sort of manner to easily and simply assign ratings... well nothing is ever simple... but something that does not require a degree from MIT is what I am getting at.

In reality, all reviewers have a different style... some are as verbose as Shakespeare... and others prefer a minimalist approach analogous to e e cummings. Both styles can result in a useful review, and ironically sometimes it is the short and sweet style that yields the most accurate information… but then again not. We are not all journalism majors and as a result at times the real story gets lost in the process. As such, some individuals are unfortunately unable to verbalize their experiences adequately, or feel downright embarrassed to discuss such private matters in an open forum... and even though they have the best of intentions.

So perhaps a simple check list / rating system / survey / quick comments / etc. section… to supplement the actual review.

Also, I have always said that the YOU section is the most important as that gives an indication to someone who is just like "you" if the escort will be compatible.

Others… fire away!
