Just now I was bestirred from my afternoon reverie at my work computer by the doorbell. Upon opening the door, I set my eyes upon this gorgeous Latin boy in a white T-shirt who asked, in accented English, if I wanted him to mow my lawn for ten bucks.

 

I almost asked him if he'd come in and do a little housework for an additional fee, but he had another guy (not so great looking) waiting in his van.

 

The guy at my door had a body to die for. To see him mowing my back lawn, shirtless, on a hot summer afternoon would have kept my occupied discreetly at the window for half an hour at least.

 

But alas - I sent him away - thinking of the Jimenez family who comes regularly to garden and houseclean. I'm so loyal ;-)

That's a perfect set up for a midsummer's wet dream, and you describe it enticingly. I hope you got the young landscaper's number and hire him back for some lawn mowing, leaf blowing, bush trimming, bed hoeing, and a little plowing where the back yard needs it. (And tell about it... please!)

...cute entre into a fabulous story as some of the other respondents have already alluded. In spite of my loyalty to my regular staff and in deference to the man in the van, I would definitely have hired this "hottie" as well as gotten his number for future jobs above or below board.

When I first read this post I misunderstood and thought that you knew the family of the boy in question and that is why you didn't want to "compromise" him or yourself. I didn't think anybody would pass up such an opportunity for such a ridiculous reason. Good grief it was only ten bucks and the Jimenez's could always -remow your lawn. They say lawns should be mowed once a week anyway. If you were in front of me Chris I'd smack you silly. ;-) :*

I would have hired him, and found a way to get him to help me with some "heavy" work in the back yard if he didn't have his turnip-like partner at the ready in his van. That's the thing that kept me from pulling out 10 bucks.

 

It's just like in those erotic dreams which come oh so seldom to us - just when something exciting is about to happen, around the corner shows up some relative, your boss, 1st grade teacher - someone to pour buckets of cold water all over the deal. x(
