I caught this film on cable; it's about two women competing in the Miss Texas beauty pageant. It's a documentary, and is shot with alternating pieces of the two women preceding and during the contest.

One is much more competitive and polished in the competition; the other, more scattered, pretty, and just seemed like a nice, fun, sorta silly girl.

Their directors, all of whom seemed gay and whose job was to prepare them, could not be more different. The movie was just great; simply showed the facts, the events and the people. I loved it because I love documentaries, and this one was on something (Miss Texas pageant) that I had never paid any attention to.

Hysterically funny, yet the story pulled you in. And I assume it accurately portrayed a slice of Americana, Texas style.
