Labour Problems in Montreal???

I am going to Montreal this weekend and staying at the Gouverneur de plasis. I heard a rumour that the hotel was having "labour problems." If anyone was in Montreal last weekend, and has any information about the Gouverneur, service, etc., I would be grateful. Thanks )

I heard a few people talking about some kind of strike and evidently hotel maids weren't working in some places. Things were A-OK at the Marriott. :-)

I just spent Pride Weekend (August 2-5) in the Gouverneur and all was well. I didn't catch any hint of pending problems.
