The last known and possibly last Ziegfeld girl died this morning. I have such great memories of seeing her these past twelve (!) years appearing at the Broadway Cares Easter Bonnet event. What an end of an era. (I hope I've pasted the link correctly).

She was just in the Easter Bonnet show two weeks ago today. And although she looked frail, and was helped off-stage by some lovely show-boys, her voice was strong as she promised to be here next year.

I am really sad.
