Solar Energy System

Does anybody here installed solar energy system in their houses? I read some

reports and thinking of moving house in that direction but want to know how cost effective it is. Pvt me or let me know if any of you installed solar energy system for your houses.

I had a guy yesterday try to sell me a system. I had asked my tax guy too about it, and he stated I would only be entitled to $1,500 tax credit. When the salesman asked what my electric bills were, I told him they range from $80 to $140 each month, depending on the month. He told me it's not worth it yet, as you only see a return of investment when your electric bill averages over $150 per month. Also you can't sell any power back to the electric company. You can only break even, and then they get free electricity from you.
