I plead ignorance on this point. So, I just ask this innocent question.

 

Someone told me that someone of Jewish parentage is easily able to become an Isreali citizen. Would a guy in his late teens or early 20's, who is Jewish, be subjected to military service if were to visit Isreal?

 

I have a Taiwanese friend that was not able to return to Taiwan for some time for this reason.

Only if this guy applies to immigrate. Tourists and temporary residents are not subject to military service
