As of today Avatar is now the new biggest box office film of all time.

 

Worldwide: $1,858,866,889 vrs Titanic's Worldwide: $1,843,201,268

Saw on TV earlier that it is biggest box office of all time, but because of inflated tickets prices (compared to 1997) and the extra cost for 3D, it still has not had as many viewers as Titanic.

I thought both movies were very, very boring but at least Titanic had the delicious Billy Zane!

I enjoyed both and was amazed by the breadth and scope of both movies. IMO, great attention to detail that is more appreciated on the big screen. They both moved me, however, I confess to seriously getting sick of hearing the theme song to Titanic being played everywhere for what felt like forever.
