I have met him a number of times. I believe he is currently raping the middle to lower middle class with their terrible credit card fees. He should ashamed of himself. I would never give him my business now after the way he is behaving!!!

I worked for JPMorganChase for many years and it wasn't long after Jamie's takeover that I was shown the door (albeit I was very happy to see it!). While I think Jamie makes a nice appearance, as CEO IMO he isn't that hot, and he has ruined morale at the bank, cut back on employee benefits and generally made life more miserable for those employees on the front lines while he and he cronies get fat paychecks and annual bonuses in the millions!

I guess it's a two edged sword. It's hard to fault a CEO who is acting in the best financial interests of the company he represents. After all, it is a business, not a charity. The rates he charges doesn't affect those who pay off their balance every month. If you can't do that then maybe you shouldn't be using a credit card.

I believe it is irresponsible even for a business leader to raise a credit card rate from 18% to 39% during an economic crisis or really at any time. This is one reason why some regulations are necessary to keep greed in check.

Even though I am for mostly unfettered capitalism, I have to agree with you in this case. It is unconscioncable to charge those rates for ANY reason.
