memphis

The Client by John Grisham takes place in Memphis, Tennessee and in his book Ford County, the first short story takes place in Memphis too.

greatness, you are incredible. All US airports of any size are named to include their international identification which is "K" for US airports. The remaining letter are "familiar" identifiers and indicate the usual airline ID. ATL = Atlanta but the real identifier is KATL. KMEM is for Memphis, TN which is where I live and work.

No harm, no foul. :)

Best regards,

KMEM

So thoughtful

Steven you are so thoughtful. :)

Personally, I don't know anyone who is happy to have screaming, unruly kids on their flight. If it's a short flight (1-2 hours) I try not to pay attention to them and focus on something else. An Ipod comes handy in those situations. On a long-haul flight that may become an annoyance, since I try to use my time to relax and sleep. The worst situation I've encountered is when the little kid behind me starts kicking the back seat with his feet. I always try to stay polite and first make an eye-contact with the parent, after the second eye-contact I usually get something like "He's just a kid ..." then I leave the flight attendant deal with it ...

Actually my worst "airplane kid" experience involved a kid sitting in front of me. He stood up, leaned over, positioned his head right over my trey, and then spit in my drink. I pushed it away and then trying to ignore the situation tried to get some shut-eye. The little brat then took a toy airplane and hurled it at me hitting me in the head. Finally the parent chimed in saying, "Johnny! Stop that! That man was trying to sleep!" Well too little too late.

For course I once had baby's first flight sitting behind me. The kid was smart enough to not say a word or even cry. However, I wanted to punch the mother in the face who goo-goo, gaa-gaa, and baby talked throughout the entire flight...

In have a baggage tag that has the following Robert Benchley quote:

"There are two types of travel - first class, and with children."

OK, Ivana is a spoiled mature women. However if she is on a public

flight, paying good money for probably first class, and you have little

brats running around, I'd be pissed to. Even in Coach, if you're going to

bring your children keep them under control. I've had the back of my

chair kicked for hours, screaming kids, etc. Ivana, I'm with you, toss

the little bastards out the window.

I agree 100%

IMO Ivana did nothing wrong in yelling at these brats. She should sue the airline for failing to have there flight attendants in control of their passengers - i.e. the noisy children.

I once had to endure a flight from Amsterdam to Montreal with a 4 year old sitting behind me and kicking the back of my seat, non stop, all the way. Asking the mother to get the child to stop did nothing. Requesting the flight crew to take action also did nothing. But if I had been kicking the back of the seat in front of me, I would probably have been charged.

The same thing applies to Ivana. If SHE had been running up and down the isle screaming and shouting how tolerant would the crew have been? Not very, is my guess.
