Zac Efron and Mr. Welles

"Me and Orson Welles" is a charming film. Zac Efron looks beautiful, with those supple, sinewy arms. He looks a bit like the (very) young Patrick Cassidy. Efron also acts well in the film. And there's just a hint of mint about him.

 

I wonder if the story of Richard, or "Junior's," experiences with Welles is meant as the daydream or fantasy of a bright, talented boy bored with his fusty teacher's dry classroom lessons on Shakespeare.

 

I'd like to read the novel on which the film is based. Toss it onto the heap of books ready to read in 2010 (2011, 2012.........and on).

Agreed, this is a marvelous film. I think I mentioned it in another thread after seeing it a while ago. Zac Efron proves to be ready for prime-time adult acting....
