I am predicting Ndamukong Suh, defensive tackle on Nebraska team to be the winner of the Heisman trophy. You heard it here first. If the Committee wants to preserve the trophy as being for the best college football player of the year, they have to give it to a defensive player once in a while. If Suh can't win it, what defensive player ever can? He is on the short list not only of the Heisman, but virtually every defensive trophy list.

No one from Alabama has ever won the Heisman so I think it's a good chance that the guy -- can't remember his name -- from there might win this time especially considering how well they played last weekend. We'll see. Whoever it is will PROBABLY be HOT!

My Vote: Alabama's Ingram

Interesting call Merlin2. It definitely could, and probably should, be Suh. He is a superior defensive tackle who worked his tail off all season and, quite frankly, he is not surrounded by any other outstanding talent on the Cornhusker defense. He rarely left the field all season. It would be refreshing to see the Heisman Trophy go to a defensive player.

That said, my money is on Bama's Mark Ingram to win. Ingram has received loads of national media exposure this year and gave his chances a nice final boost by running for 113 yards and scoring three touchdowns in the SEC title game last week.

Suh, last Saturday held the number 3 team, Texas with Colt McCoy to a virtual tie. Nebr was ahead at the end but the officials put one second back on the clock and Texas scored a field goal for a one point victory. Sure, Suh was not alone but he made the difference between the No 3 team and No 22 Nebraska. I sould give the Nebr place kicker, Henery, his due. He scored all of Nebraska's points.

Suh, Lee and the Huskers....

Yep, Merlin2, your assessment is right on the money. I watched that game last week and was thoroughly impressed with Suh and the Nebraska kicker. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of the Huskers, but they came within a second of taking Texas down. Gotta hand it to 'em. As an aside, I think Nebraska's quarterback, Zac Lee, is one of the finest specimens in college football and totally F*uckable! (at least in my dreams). :)
