I'm glad that I am not a girl. I would spend a lot of money on hand bags(and shoes) if I could carry them around. I love this new moon ad... These three astronauts on this ad are so elegant. What do you think?

Lous Vuitton had launched a campaign in mid-July, to celebrate the anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon on July 20, 1969.

Titled "Core Values", the campaign features Buzz Aldrin, who in the course of the historic Apollo 11 mission with Neil Armstrong, became the second man to set foot on the Moon; Jim Lovell, the commander of the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission in 1970, who guided his crew back to the safety of the Earth; and Sally Ride, who in 1983 became the first American woman to venture into space as a crew member on Space Shuttle Challenger.

Leo, can I live vicariously through you a bit and ask exactly what you got? I've been thinking about getting a wallet (Chicago 8 CC) and messenger bag (Viktor, Taiga). They've been on my wish list since forever, and something tells me that sometime over the Christmas season, I'll make the "sacrifice" (you know, only to help out our struggling economy) and plop down my credit card.

Sure, no worries. I've recently been recreating my entire wardrobe...in this process I've been wearing more fitted jeans. I already had a very small wallet (one of those two-sided black pieces with straps connecting them so you could flip it open on either side to hold money, etc AmEx sent out to their OPEN clients a few years ago) but noticed it was even too big--especially as I had a tendency to stuff it full of paper/cash. I wanted the smallest, so went with the Damier Graphite Canvas Card Holder ($220). I can generally still keep it in my pocket and it doesn't change the shape of the pants. So far it holds 2 credit cards, my driver's license, a few select cash bills, and still has a little room for business cards. I want to be careful to not over-stuff it.

Next on my list is the Damier Graphite Canvas Pocket Organizer ($245). I wouldn't put that in my pocket, most likely, but have it on me somewhere else. I was torn between these two in the store...and went with the card holder because ultimately it did what I wanted for the time. I'd want a side bag when I got the pocket organizer...and haven't made a decision on which one I'd want.

The Chicago 8 CC looks nice. There's a simple elegance to the Chicago leather. Just be careful not to over-stuff the wallet. It'll detract from the look and also inevitably cause cracking. The Taiga Viktor is really nice. I need to look through the online selection...it's much, much larger than any store I've seen.

I really like the Damier Graphite Canvas. The Taiga leather looks really nice. I wonder if the bag would be too sleek to go with something more casual? I guess I'd have to see it in person. I figured the Damier Graphite was recognizable and had the ability to go with more casual clothing...but, definitely is not as sleek was what you're looking at. Nice choice.

At this moment, if I were in a store and ready to buy a bag, it would probably be the Damier Graphite Daniel MM.

I'm noticing the more recognizable leather designs are...cheaper. Funny.

wow

You are a fashion expert! So attractive. I use a 7 year old wallet my sister got me from Hong Kong, of course fake (Chinese Guicci) lol.

OMG, where the f*ck did that paroxysm of nastiness come from? Wait, forget it, I really don't want to know.

hmm

I am not sure but come to think of it maybe my post can be perceived in a negative way. I didn't mean to offend you or anything. Sorry if I've offended you.

Greatness, you've always been a great source of positivity. Thanks for the compliment. The original message did have a slight twist towards the end...so I was holding off for a bit to think of a way to respond to it, lol. I was sure you didn't mean it that way or against me...but was still wanting to give it some thought. Keep up the great posts.

I remember you saying you were going to take a hiatus of sorts from the message board, I'm really glad to see that hasn't happened. :D
