I saw it last week and I liked it. It was really creepy and it really built up the suspense! I have seen movies that I thought were more scary than this one though.

I saw one the other day called baby blues that was creepy.Its about a lady that suffers from postpartum psychosis and attacks her 4 children

I am more old school I guess! I loved Silence of the Lambs (came out just before the Dahmer fiasco), the original Halloween (which preceded all the slasher flicks), the original Psycho. I thought The Strangers was really scary and it was based on a true story.

I haven't seen it because I have wondered if its shot the same way as films like cloverfield, blairwitch or rec. Films that are shot with the shaky hand held type feel actually makes me physically sick.
