Murder in Phoenix - Tribute to a Straight Man

The gay community here in Phoenix has suffered a horrible loss. Yesterday as he was refilling the ATM machine at one of the three bars he owned Steven Johnson was shot and killed by 2 men.

 

The bartender at Harley's Club 155 witnessed the murder of Stephen A. Johnson at about 2:30pm and ran next door for help.

 

 

Steve was one of the few straight men that actually do things for the gay community. As owner of Harley's, Harley's Club 155, and Cruising Central he has contributed to the acceptance of the gay community in a conservative city and state.

 

Steve was a married man with 3 kids, and a community that cared for him. This is a horrible loss for his family and the gays and lesbians in Phoenix
