Larry King will be kept very busy this week.

 

Dominic Dunne, the Vanity Fair diarist whose columns I have enjoyed for many years and was the author of at least eight best selling novels, died yesterday from bladder cancer. He was 83.

 

He had just finished what was to be his final book, "Too Much Money" which is scheduled to be published by Random House this December.

 

I learned from reading his obit that he had been the producer of the iconic film, "Boys in the Band", one of, if not the first movie which depicted favourably on gay life in the 60's. I hadn't known that.

 

May he rest in peace.
