Another Craigslist Change

When trying to reply to a post in the men seekng men or the casual encounters section you need to enter the capcha to view the email link. This is really annoying to say the least.

 

Anyone have thoughts as to why they put this in place?

I'm guessing it's to thwart spammers that use automated programs to respond to ads. For the past few months, I've gotten multiple spam replies to every ad I've posted. Some are very obvious but a few have fooled me until I answered them,

Agreed! I personally would like to see this feature on more sites since applications are becoming more advanced to scan sites and collect phone numbers and email addresses without a user actually doing the clicking.

I wish they would do that with the adult and therapeutic ads. I get 50 or more spam mail from that site each day. I just delete every thing that comes in. If someone wants a massage they must call..
