I have had a wonderful experience here in a specific Atlanta hotel - The Intercontinental in Buckhead (THANK YOU PRICELINE and "name your own price"). That said, I wanted to share my experience with others who may be on the lookout for a wonderful hotel. I was so impressed with the hotel when a very kind client of mine (you know who you are kind sir) picked me up from the airport and took me to my destination. The hotel grounds are absolute perfection and the staff has been SO helpful not only in the services that they provide but also with directions and suggestions about where to eat and proximity of entertainment such as movie theaters, pubs and many other local hot spots. The facilities are all well maintained, the pool is an absolute dream with a nice view of the surrounding towers.

The rooms are just wonderful and very spacious! It isn't often that a hotel offers not only a great shower with some of the best water pressure but also a seperate full garden tub. Speaking of the bathroom, it was absolutely enormous and nicely decorated with marble floors and counter tops. The beds were extremely comfortable though... I would suggest not sitting at the end of the bed because as a client and I found out, the bed about flipped over on us which about made me jump out of my skin - lesson learned! :) The art throughout the hotel is all very nice and each room had some very interesting pieces which I found to be very interesting and pleasing to the eye. The towels were absolutely SOFT and plentiful, large closet space and plenty of places to hang clothes and put things into drawers. The entire staff was all about Sir and Mam along with please and thank you which is always refreshing.

Again, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Buckhead area and wanted to share this experience with others. I intend to continue submitting reviews on hotels going forward.

Romann, that's great that you lucked into such a nice hotel and had a wonderful experience. I am definitely interested in checking out that hotel the next time I am in Atlanta.

I stayed there about a year ago, and I must agree, it is a nice hotel; however, I didn't get the Priceline price, but I didn't pay for it either. I enjoy the fact that there was a shower and a garden tub in every room. When I stayed there, Atlanta was complaining of their water shortage; I felt so bad for taking a shower, then filling up the garden tub and soaking for 45 minutes.

I must agree! Very pricey though!

Agreed!

Thank you for the response and additional input - very much appreciated. :)

It was a spectacular hotel and one that I will very much book again when I go to Atlanta again at the end of August. One thing I did notice and maybe this didn't have anything to really do with the hotel but rather the city water supply was how "hard" the water was. After each shower, I had to lather on the lotion because my skin would dry out very quickly but again, I think that's more to do with the city water supply and I'm more used to "softer" water in Dallas which is where I'm from.

I must say, for 80.00 a night, Priceline scored a big one for me.
