Now there was a hottie I haven't heard of for a while - what's he doing these days?

I didn't and don't much care for Clinton, but he's fascinating to watch, and he is quite charismatic in person. I think the right wing overly vilifies him and the liberals are too quick to give him a pass. His complete lack of introspection in the "Um, folks, I DID have sex with Monica after all" speech was deplorable; no sense of how he had soiled the office of the presidency (not so much by the sex, but by the lies and taking advantage of the power of his position) -- classic Clinton, since he was Governor of Arkansas.

(By the way, an old joke from the 80's in Arkansas -- Question to a local sheriff -- "How do you control nymphomania among your womenfolk?" Answer -- "We put a governor on them.")

He lost me completely and forever when he pardoned all of those despicable people, obviously in exchange for contributions to his shrine in Little Rock. However, both he and his wife are truly fascinating American characters, and I can't turn the channel when I see them on TV.

Finally, I certainly do not begrudge them their Secret Service protection, and if he can get $50 million for a show, that's OK with me.

>I didn't and don't much care for Clinton,

As long as there are Presidents, some people will love them , some will hate them, and some will be indifferent towards them. Even when I decide I hate one of them, I always think - hell! he's more successful than I'll ever be, (or anyone else I know, for that matter) and it's hard to argue with success.

You mean it was worse than only paying a street hustler $80 ;-)

Good joke!

Right - facinating people are always facinating to watch. Know what? I'd even watch Hitler, if they managed to get him on Prime Tive Live.

If he doesn't, somebody else will - so what the hell?

<<This could just be a trial balloon the network is sending out see whether or not they should make the deal.>>

Deeg,

You mean this dialogue will be considered by the networks? We are the trial balloon, wow, this site really has gotten important.

It would be a good show for about 4-6 months. After the novelty wore off, I am sure the network would drop the show.

His past governorship of Arkansas would be especially useful. I heard between 15-20% of residents in AR live in mobile homes -- prime recruiting spots for guests and audience members.

There has been a huge void in talk shows since the departure of Morton Downey.
