How many guys post or search the classifieds at http://www.backpage.com ? In all cities it has a male seeking male section and in many cites a male escort ad section as well.

 

At times, I find it to be a nice alternative to craigslist. Though it also depends on what city I'm visiting as backpage m4m sections in certain towns are pretty empty.

There is only one current ad for San Francisco. Pretty empty indeed. Hard to beat entrenched competition.
