In reading through some of the advertisements in HotSpots & Outlook magazine I noticed something. There are several individual people listing the same phone number, are these like what the legal profession calls firms or medicine calls private practices?

Derrick...

They are probably either all the same person using different names or it is an agency that advertises their escorts individually. I noticed the same thing the last time I was in SoBe.

It is not unusual for one guy to use several names and different descriptions.

Merlin; help me with understanding this....

Seriously, why would an individual (1 human being) want to use different names

and descriptions?

My brain's logical reasoning & ethical departments are coming up blank

on understanding this info.

I view it as marketing the same person in different ways. An example: the guys markets himself in one ad as plain vanilla, and in another as a leather escort. The same guy, using different styles, could appeal to two (or more) completely different clients.

I don't know about the different descriptions (THAT sounds fishy) but the different names can let the escort know which advertising medium is generating the business (Rob on aol, Bob in HotSpots, Bobby in Unzipped, etc. If no one calls for Bob, that ad gets dropped.)

Also, as botboy points out, different names can provide different services.
