The following is a news report about actor Brad Renfro the now legal age hottie who continues to have issues with the long arm of the law. For those who do not know of Brad I've added a pic below.

I'm fascinated why a young man with apparently so much going for him would take so many "silly risks" as to potentially ruin his career. Possibly the thrill is exactly what motivates him to do so.

It's well documented that he was a "tough kid" when discovered in TN while living with his Grandmother. At the time he was cast in the role of Brad Sway in the film, The Client. Could he be the James Dean for a new generation?

Cheers! Ritchie

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - A Broward judge sent actor Brad Renfro to jail

after he turned himself in for a probation violation.

The star of the 1994 film "The Client" appeared in court Thursday after he

was charged with driving without a license and public intoxication Jan. 14

near Knoxville, Tenn., his hometown.

Renfro, 19, is serving probation for trying to steal a yacht in August 2000.

Circuit Judge Ronald J. Rothschild ordered Renfro's arrest.

"The fact that you're back here accused of a crime is grounds to detain

you," Rothschild said.

Authorities said Renfro and a friend had tried to steal a 45-foot yacht from

Holiday Harbor in Fort Lauderdale. As they motored away, they forgot to

untie all the docking lines, which snagged the $175,000 vessel, damaging its

stern.

In 1998, the actor was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, but

avoided jail time with a plea deal.

Renfro's movie credits include "Ghost World,""Bully" and "Apt Pupil."

Well, at the risk of sounding blunt, sometimes you can take the kid out of the trashy background, but you can't take the trashy background out of the kid. Look at Eminem/Marshall Mathers and OJ Simpson. They may be punks with money (at least for a given period of time), but they'll always be punks. Some people just can't learn how to be classy (of course some people can).
