'Ho on the Go' -- Be in my movie!!

Hey folks,

 

Now that I've moved apartments my next big splurge is going to be a digital video camera. I want to make a documentary/road trip movie about escorting as we know it, although from a subjective perspective (mine). Working title: Ho on the Go. This is a casting call to escorts; clients; lurkers who've thought about hiring but haven't; boyfriends, wives, and exes of all of the above, oh, and of course kathryn: tell YOUR stories so together we can make a hot flick about the real nitty-gritty of the world of escorts, clients and their admirers (and discontents?).

 

Now, for a lot of people privacy and anonymity are going to be big issues. While I do hope to get some of you, especially from among the escorts whose faces are already all over the Internet, to show your faces, to make something real and honest I'm going to need to be able to interview people who will tell me things they'd only tell me off camera, and anonymously. I have ideas about how to weave those contributions into the movie. So there's a whole continuum of levels at which you could participate: You could be on camera, undisguised and identified by your working name; you could be on camera but disguised; I could interview your crotch; or I could interview you off camera. Or we could do a combintation -- you might want to be interviewed in the movie but also say things to me anonymously and off camera. Let me into your life as much or as little as you want. Whatever's going to yield the highest volume of interesting material. Remember, the more people participate, the less time Devon spends talking about his childhood to the camera. I'm going to make this movie with or without your help. It might as well be with!

 

If I interview people here in San Francisco and five other cities and get 15 minutes of interesting footage from each city, that's a movie, folks. I think this is the kind of thing that could get into a gay film festival and maybe even be a crowd-pleaser. But we can worry about all that later.

 

For now, I would love for anybody that's interested in participating at any level of involvement to let me know, either on this thread or by sending me a private message. Also, feedback about where you think I should go, who should I talk to, would be appreciated. Any expertise people have about legal issues for me to think about, releases, that kind of thing, would also be great.

 

I guess I don't have to tell you how this project is being funded. If the idea of the money you spend on hookers funding a movie about them turns you on, well, cum to Devon! Want Devon to cum to your city and feature YOUR city's whores in his movie? A little overnight sponsorhip goes a long way. Not quite that enthusiastic? Another aspect of this whole project is, I'm going to be writing about all of this as it's happening in my online diary. So anybody interested will be treated to a behind the scenes "The Making of 'Ho on the Go'" account and be able to see what's being left out and what's being added in the movie. I'm also hoping to get various escorts and clients to contribute "guest entries" to the diary, either anonymously or identified.

 

By the way, my credentials, not that it matters: I've been to art school (Mass Art in Boston), on scholarship, and I've made videos and one of my majors was photography, which I've been doing about seven and a half years. (I'm also a painter.) Male flesh is frequently my subject, and I hope to feature a fair amount of it in this pic. :9

I'm thinking it could at least play at some film festivals, and then if it's well received (so to speak) it could have a run through "art house" theaters.
