Pretty Inn, owned by some group that bought the old Asheville Country Club some years ago, and they keep getting bigger. Great hearths, building very pretty. Downside, food bad, rooms not very nice, usually crowded (but maybe not this time of year) and incredilby touristy. Asheville, Black Mountain, Hendersonville worth seeing, as is the Blue Ridge area around it. People swear by the new Biltomore Inn, including food, next door to Biltmore, but never have been there.

John,

Have you checked out their website at http://www.groveparkinn.com ? I personally have never stayed there. However I know several people, including family memebers that have. They loved it, said it was unique place, very nice and had excellent service. It can be a bit on the pricey side. I did see they are running some specials on certain dates. I have NO idea IF the GPI is gay friendly or not?? Anyone care to jump in if you know? They have a 4 Diamond rating from AAA so I'm sure what I've heard from family about this resort being great is true. Let me know if you find out more that is not posted here.
