Why is it that some users cannot be "rated."

They, like I, have turned the feature off in the user settings. I fought to have it disabled permanently (as it had been previously) but lost.

Why did you do this? Don't you want users here to know what your fellow posters think of you?

Because when it was activated previously, it was horrendously abused, and led to some very nasty stuff. I saw no value in it being revived.

I agree completely with KK. It was one of the worse periods the message center had been through. I was shocked to see them activated again .
