20 years ago I think there may have been some class distinction, but not anymore. I've got 2 nieces and a nephew, all in boarding schools, and they and many of their classmates have tattoos. I too have a small tribal on my back between my shoulder blades. When I got my tattoo I was really selfconcious on where it was placed. I made sure that when I was wearing a tanktop nobody could see it. Small and discreet was my goal. The whole reason I got one was for my personal pleasure. In fact I thought about getting another but I just don't want it in view for the public. My next probably will be right above my but in the small of my back. Nothing wild and crazy but something fun. LOL These tattoos mark my sweet spots. Anywho I would recommend that you go on your feelings and not worry with ours. You are the person who has to live with it not us so you make the call. :-)
