This is a test in preparation for my trip to RIO and filing my daily travel reports. I purchased a digital camera this past weekend and hope to be able to post pics as part of my diary (assuming of course anyone would be interested in pics of guys in RIO). So I am borrowing a pic from one the guys from the last soiree. If all goes well it will appear at the end of this post. If it does, then I will be able to download directly from my camera on a laptop in RIO.

This concludes this test of the Jackhammer91406 IN-BEDed publishing system.

Sorry, Jack. It looks like the test didn't work, at least not for me. If I click on the link using Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106, I get

"Cannot find server or DNS Error"

Hey, Jack -

I pay $20 a year for my pic hosting service. Very reliable and easy to manage. And, need I add, I have lots of fun with it.

Posters have been successful downloading their pix to Ofoto.com or Snapfish.com and then inviting interested people to view their pix. That seems to be the most reliable system for digital pix.

It was easy for me to access Snapfish's, but Ofoto was for naught; I was never able to view Robbguy's or TomCal's photos on Ofoto (in spite of both men sending this to me more than once and of which I am appreciative...). So if you resort to one of the two aforementioned, please do Snapfish. I would like to view the photos of many of the guys I saw (visually). :)

Hey, Jackhammer,

Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your post of your recent Rio trip. You made it seem like we were with you, the next best thing to being there. How did you post the pics? I have tried posting pics on my past Rio trips but was unable to do so. Would love to know how. Thanks. Robb

Robbguy,

I was able to use bandwidth elsewhere and I posted the pics there so they would be linkable on this site. To post a pic here, it must appear somewhere else on the internet and the url accessible without a password. At least that's how I understand it. There are several services availalbe online for personal websites that allow you to post data or pics. Just be aware that these sites, while free or very cheap initially, measure bandwith usage (the number of hits you get) and after a certain amount of hits, you are then charged by usage.
