Londonlads reviews not accurate

I was in London and engaged an escort based on several glowing reviews on Londonlads. It turned out that the escort, Massimo, is very poor and far from recommended. I later found another review of him on Rentboy.com which is much more accurate. That reviewer indicated that he had posted a negative review on Londonlads but it was never posted. It seems that Londonlads has some way of editing or screening out negative reviews to favor certain escorts. I don't trust Londonlads reviews anymore. The new format is also very strange and user unfriendly.

I agree on the format. And I also agree on the editing of reviews. I once submitted a negative review of the Greek/Aussie Billy after he flipped out on me, but it was never posted.

... but a positive review of Stanislav also proved to be accurate. In fact, when I hired him his only review was negative, but clearly written by a disguntled client, and it proved to be absolutely wrong.

 

The guy called James #3 has great reviews, but he was a no-show for me.

 

The bottom line is that the londonlads reviews are not reliable.

To be fair to London-Lads (now AME) their comments section is called "Recommendations". That means that you can recommend someone but not the opposite. I took this up with them some time ago in an email where I was complaining about escorts who use some another guy's photo (see my recent posting) and they explained that as they are funded by the escorts paying to advertise, they could hardly then carry a comment saying they are crap. Fair enough, I suppose, but it does tend to kill the credibility of those comments.

I think this is very illuminating. The comments on London-Lads/AME are to be taken more as advertising than real comments like those on this site. Escorts pay to have their sites on London-Lads/AME and therefore they will never post any negative comments.

 

Therefore, any one looking to hire escorts in London should not look to London-Lads/AME for real comments. Although some of the comments might be real they are so highly selected and baised that they are basically worthless. How useful is a system that screens out all negative feedbacks and only posting the positive ones?

I agree with you about londonlads, but I would say that the advantage of this site is that from time to time, but with decreasing frequency negative reviews slip through the cracks.

 

However, I find most of the "positive" reviews here to be unreliable because: (1) they often seem either to be sent from a client trying to ingratiate himself with an escort for free or perhaps for some form of past or future payment in kind; and (2) the folks who post positive reviews often seem to be so happy for any attention from an escort, and their personal circumstances so idiosyncratic that a positive review offers no clear indication of a likely future encounter would progress.

 

That said, on a few occasions here, I have had a great experience with an escort, and after subsequently checking here, I have found word for word what I had thought myself. In those circumstances, I have mixed feelings because what had seemed very "special" between the escort and I then seemed more like an assembly line production.

I would take comments on the London-Lads/AME web site with a VERY large grain of salt. As discussed above, they are not accurate or trustworthy.

 

I would advise against Massimo. He has glowing London-Lads/AME but is in reality absolutely awful.

Blade - there are more than 100 fantastic escorts listed on gaydar in the UK.

You need to give us some idea of what you are looking for before we can make suggestions. My experiences in London (I am there 3-4 times annually) have all been excellent, however, I do my homework and always check old reviews here, although I have also done several hires with no review that turned out to be great. IT is very important that you communicate your needs, desires and fantasys clearly to your potential hire - that will gaurantee satisfaction for all.

Guys while I haven't had any experience with Londonlads all reviews should be read with a grain of salt nearby.

 

Also, if you don't like the review format post suggestions in Daddy's forum. He has encouraged readers to do so for about the past 6-10 months now. He rarely reads other forums and it is the only way he will know that additional work is needed - anyway, just a suggestion.
