Just hours ago I checked out of Luxor. I liked it for the kitsch element. Cleopatra-Jihad look. Rates at $69 mid-week were attractive, decent room for the money. Big bathroom with a tub that can accomodate two guys. I wanted the most gaudy, tacky, Las Vegasesque place I could find. Not sure I succeeded.

But the same thing with 30 minute phone calls... a minus

Business center had PC's with no internet access...duh...

Lots of people with tattos and tee shirts about tractor pull contests/stock cars/bowling... a minus

Room service boys weren't at all cute... a minus

Room service breakfast for two, omelettes, juice, coffee $43.00

Chambermaids were sweet, gave us lots of extra towels.. a plus

Cool,

Thanks for the tips on Luxor. We just made another phone call to make sure that Aladdin was just re-organizing & not shutting the doors. I appreciate all your input guys & keep it coming if you have some insight to kick in. Oh, and I really enjoy knowing about the internet/ph. call limitaions & policies.

Thanks,

John

RE: Paul Walker's Butt

>Totally unrelated to Vegas but I caught "Joy Ride" last night. The very long scene of Paul Walker & Steve Zahn nude walking across a truck stop parking lot and thru a diner...well worth the $7.50 admission...and I don't think they used stunt asses either. <Note to self: Find Paul Walker's email address> LOL

I agree completely. Just one question for you. Who's your bitch and who's he talking to? Well two questions but I think both should make you laugh.

I am not sure if you understood or not. I think from the ? the answer is Not. I was referring to the scene in the bar when paul walker is about to fight with the locals....

When I first moved to vegas the hotels really prided themselves on offering free local telephone calls. In fact, you could go into almost any local business and have a phone nearby. It was not uncommon to see waitresses bringing phones to tables. There was a real small town hospitality. Now, most of the strip is corporate and following the path of hotels around the country. Charging by the minute for local calls is really too much. It has gotten to the point most visitors use their cell phones and their free long distance minutes to make calls.

The Alladin's free DSL and screen is really one of the few real bargains in vegas. With the bankruptcy it is likely that the Alladin will become part of MGM inc or Park Place inc.

One thing is sure about hospitality, many of the best escorts in vegas want to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable visit.
