In the last few years he always spent Jan-Apr or so in Hawaii. Usually at the school where he learned massage, but last Fall he told me he was going to housesit for six months or so.

 

Maybe he's left Portland for good, maybe he's settled in Hawaii, maybe he's settled down somewhere else with his boyfriend, maybe he's given up the business, maybe he'll be back, maybe not. At least I won't forget him, and I'm sure he'll have a lot of customers waiting if he ever decides to come back.
