TonyDown Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) I follow a few LGBTQ movie pages on Facebook, where I've seen The Seminarian (2010) mentioned from time to time. The director, Joshua Lim, relocated to the States from Singapore and studied at USC. I'm curious if he is still involved in film. I don't see any recent activity since 2015. Lim was recognized for this directorial debut. It's a quiet film. I read there was interest in adapting it into a play. I could see that as a better format for this story. The film is currently available on HooplaDigital, Kanopy, TubiTV and YouTube. For me, I found some food for thought, but I would not watch it again. Has anyone else watched this one? I found this review that liked it. Looks like a pretty good Blog. Edited June 26 by TonyDown thomas 1
TonyDown Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM I followed up and watched Lim's next movie, Godless (2015). This one streams with ads on Fandango at Home, YouTube, and TubiTV, In the same way as The Seminarian, this one might have worked better as a play versus a movie. It seemed a little tedious. Found a picture of Lim and his cast, on IMDB.COM. thomas 1
