I Don't Understand You, gay film on Hulu

Never heard of this one. It's a wacko horror/comedy movie from 2024 that actually has more laughs than I expected. I have seen worse, and laughed less. Nick Kroll playing gay was quite good. He and Andrew Rannells seem to have great chemistry. Not sure Andrew Rannells is leading man material. At 47 with a swollen face, I don't think he's aging very well, but I never thought he was all that handsome. Morgan Spector does quite well as an Italian son, and Amanda Seyfried provides the newborn baby.

The premise is very peculiar. It seems like someone was trying to channel a gay Laurel and Hardy meets Frankenstein. The two lead characters are supposed to be wealthy, successful Californians, but when they get to Italy, they become dumb-and-dumber. Some of the language mishaps are very believable, and funny, but everything else is insane.

Mixing bloody gore with a gay parent adoption story seems ludicrous to me. But the movie got made. I know it's a comedy, so you can't take any of this seriously. This is pure gay fantasy entertainment. It may be worth a few laughs.
