This is a genre I find enjoyable and as a result I am probably enjoying this show a bit more than others.  The set up is that four strangers in NY meet at a local bar and become friends without realizing how intertwined each life has been with the others prior to their meeting and how unknown connections continue to manifest.  To start for example, a rock is knocked off the top of a building and strikes a man in the head.  In reality, the rock would have done much more damage than it does in this show but that is not really the point.  That rock is eventually on a path in Central park and tripped on by a woman running who has just lost her job as a record producer who removes her headphones and hears a woman singing and playing guitar.  The guitar was found by the player after it was left in the park by an singer who decided to give up singing and pursue another occupation and decided to give up music.  This person, was scouted by the record producer who tripped on the stone and was interested in signing him before she lost her job.  She did not get to speak to him before he left and that night left the guitar.  The web gets more and more involved with the coincidences and close encounters and unknown 6 degrees of separation.  The characters are interesting.  The sorries are a bit mundane but the conceit of the premise makes it interesting, much the way the characters in Lost had connections they did not know they had.

Long intro to a short premise.  Season 1    8 40 minute episodes.  Not much in the way of sex or beefcake.
