Wow.  A provider I ate dinner with several years ago told me some heartbreak stories he’d experienced but none were so life-and-death.  

He said that had a bunch of encounters with 50+ year old closeted men who had wives and children who had their first male-male experience with him.  They didn’t know how to have sex with a male partner and he had to talk them through it.  Often they were struck with grief and regret for a whole life spent not experiencing what they had always wanted.

 

I am so grateful that I had male-male sex as a junior high school student with a friend who turned into my undercover boyfriend for 6-8th grade.  Then, years later, I didn’t have to cross a line to feel okay with having sex with another man.
