Continuing with the post-Tony fallout, the musical 'Real Women Have Curves' announced today it will be bowing out of Broadway on Sunday, June 29. When the curtain comes down for the final time, it will have played 31 previews and 73 regular performances. It had its first preview on April 1 and officially opened on April 27.

Music and lyrics are by Joy Huerta and Benjamin Velez, who were Tony nominees just over a week ago. Justina Machado was nominated for a Tony for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical. The cast performed a musical number from their show on the CBS telecast last Sunday night, but it wasn't enough to drum up interest at the box office after The Tonys.  The box office for the week following The Tonys dropped 9% from the week leading up to the ceremony, averaging just 63% of theater capacity.

The musical officially opened April 27 at The James Earl Jones Theatre.
