Does anyone know if he's still escorting? I can't access his website and my messages keep bouncing back. I am going to be in Indianapolis in a few weeks and I want to be with him in the worst way. He has always been a fantasy of mine. If he's not available, who is second best in that town?

I talked to Luke last week via AOL. He said he has retired from escorting and taken another job. He also brought his web site down.

I'm not sure if "retired" means he's not seeing his regular clients.

I used to think Luke was a great guy too and came to his defense a number of times when things were not going well for him. Having seen him 3 times in the past, I also considered myself a "regular" customer. But how to you defend someone in this situation who doesn't have the curtesy to even return an email to me to say that he is retiring?? I'm more than a little hurt by what I see to be very callous and mean behaviour on his part. If you talk to him again, please be sure to tell him how I feel. I don't think this behaviour is very professional.

Well, if he's not a "professional" any more why would you expect him to write back to you in a professional context? C'mon, guys come and go from escorting all the time for various reasons. If the guy's not working any more it seems like it's wise to not be corresponding with clients from the past.

I guess it's a matter of style (read class). Once the cash register is closed and the goods removed from the shop, is there no reason to say hello in passing on the street. :-( It says something about the person -- maybe not bad, but certainly not good.

I'm sorry if I was not completely clear. I did not know that Luke was no longer escorting until I read it here a day or so ago. My correspondence during the past few months did not even specifically addressing setting up another appointment but were simple inquiries and personal exchanges such as we had previously exchanged numerous times. At any time he could have simply emailed me back and stated that he was retiring and moving on. But he did not. That simple act of closure with a regular client is what I am talking about. Of course, now that I know he is retired and does not want to talk, I will not write him.

BUMMER -- I'm finally going to travel to Indianapolis in April and was so looking forward to spending an evening with Luke Sterling. Now I find out he's retired. I sympathize with what you went through and probably would react the same.

 

That said, I think we (the clients) have to keep pinching ourselves and remember that our relationship with the escort - no matter how close we feel to him - is 90% of the time a purely financial arrangement (from the perspective of the escort). He is fulfilling a fantasy on our part. Granted some do this quite well - even superbly - but for them, we are not an "item" but simply a client (a nice client, perhaps, or even a preferable, reliant client... but... a client no less).

 

Again, I'd probably react the same way if this happened to me (and hope YOU then tell me to put the whole thing in perspective).

You are right, Tampa Yankee. That was a low rent way to leave the field.

 

On the contrary, Chris Sullivan has posted a lovely adieu on the escort travel page. We could all learn from that example.

Thanks for the good advice. I hold no ill will against Luke and hope that he is successful. I guess it is very easy though to overlook the fact that no matter how good the relationship seems, we are always customers to some degree. I will now move on to other escorts
