I recently booked a massage appointment, and while the communication beforehand was smooth and professional—easy texting, confirmed the day-of—I can't say the same for the actual experience. When I arrived, I stepped into his space, and, well... let’s just say it was more "lived-in" than "massage-ready." The room was messy and cramped, with a massage table squeezed into a corner like it was trying to make a break for it. Not ideal, but I figured I’d power through.

Then I asked to use the bathroom. Big mistake. If the room was messy, the bathroom was a full-blown biohazard. There’s messy, and then there’s "maybe call the CDC." The sink was questionable, the towels looked like they’d seen better decades, and the toilet? Oh, the toilet. Let’s just say it had skid marks. I kid you not. I almost wanted to turn around and leave, but I held my breath (literally) and soldiered on.

As for the massage itself? It was decent and enjoyable, though he shorted me a good 15-20 minutes on the promised 90-minute session. There was no drape, and he wore a jockstrap. The session finished as most here probably expect it to finish, but by that point, I was more than ready to head out.

Lesson learned: a messy space is one thing, but a dirty bathroom is an absolute dealbreaker. No matter how nice someone is, it’s hard to feel relaxed when you’re haunted by the ghost of skid marks past.

I had a similar experience recently. The bathroom was a huge turnoff and the setup wasn't relaxing at all. He said he was going to do deep pressure on me but it felt light the whole time and the non-stop talking was annoying. The ending was akward and not exciting at all. Would not repeat.
