Mr Number vs Hiya app for "research" and spam

MrNumber seems to be the app of choice for this community.  It's owned by Hiya that also has a similar app.  Curious if they use the same backend and have access to the same comments?

In Hiya app, they have a call screening option, but you need to forward your calls to their service.  It also requires you to disable live voicemail.  So it replaces the native iPhone voicemail?  

I dont see a spot for user comments in Hiya versus Mr. Number.    So far not too impressed.  May stay with Mr. Number.  I don't see the call screening being helpful. I'd rather just dump unknown callers to voicemail.
