Catfished on Soothe

Saw a provider I’ve seen before (at an establishment) on the Soothe app. Same name, pics. Booked him. He showed up…and it was a different guy. Massage was good, but felt weird that he’s using someone else’s pictures. This is in LA. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.

You should report that to Soothe - seriously.  They're supposed to be doing verification. Just tell them through the app support feature that the MT who saw you is using someone else's pics... it means he may not even be licensed.

I’m surprised by this. Soothe now allows you to select among a number of available masseurs before you book and I believe they are all verified.

Yes, that’s why I selected this guy. I had seen him twice before (not via soothe) and hired him based on same pics this guy was using. When he showed up…not the same guy. Yeah, I’ll let soothe know
