DDING Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Hi, visiting Chicago a few times this year and hoping to get some recommendations on what spas to go to. Looking for a legit massage with a men's only soak/sauna/steamroom area where people cruise each other a bit. I saw some stuff on here on Sir Spa but wasn't sure how they compared to some others in the area like Paradise, King, Sweatlodge, etc. Please feel free to reply with your favorite and why!
djwhfxoxo Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 I haven't been to the mega spas you mentioned, but have been to Sir Spa. Sir Spa is micro mini compared to these other places. The locker room is cramped, there is a small steam room but that's it. I'd say for Sir Spa go for the services, not the amenities.
+ Nakedchi Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 (edited) Paradise Spa closed a few years ago. King Spa is in Niles, so significant distance from central Chicago. King Spa is LAO family friendly so it’s not uncommon to see little kids in the wet area. Edited May 25, 2024 by Nakedchi
mrjones Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 King Spa and Sir Spa are both good, but very different. King Spa can be cruisy at times but for the most part it’s just casual glances. Sir Spa definitely gets cruisy.
mrjones Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Sir Spa has also spent some money on renovations in the past year, it’s small but thoughtfully curated and nice when it isn’t packed. Marc in Calif 1

Yeah, everything is "curated" these days. Do you mean good music? Complementary artwork on the walls? Fancy tiles in the jaccuzi? Artisanal cheeses and bread? All of these? Or do you simply mean "designed"? Edited August 21, 2024 by Marc in Calif VersOral 1
