Search function help

Can I get some tips on the search function on this site? Most of the time nothing comes up when I search, even though I know there is a topic on it. All the search settings are the standard ones, I haven’t changed them at all. I am fairly tech savvy, so this has been super frustrating lol.  Thanks!

The site search is “location aware”. Meaning it will try to search within the specific area you are in. If you are viewing a topic, the default is to search that topic. Or if in a forum… to search inside of only that forum. 

Make sure you change the context to “everywhere” if you want to search the full site.  You’ll find the context directly to the right of the box to enter your search term.
