Guest Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Is it just the Austin area? The selection of masseurs on the sites has dwindled down for the Austin area. I'm referring to the legit LMTs that offer a real massage in addition to other features. My favorites are not listing anymore. I would like to get a massage this weekend, but I feel like all the choices are just SWs and I need a legit massage. Thanks for listening to me whine. However, I am seriously wondering if it is like this in other cities/regions.
FLJock Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Rico isn’t bad: https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/41778/ Shad was very good, trained: https://www.masseurfinder.com/massage-therapists/1164/ Just let them know you want strict therapeutic and you should be alight
Simon Suraci Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Seems the larger cities are over saturated and the small(er) cities are underserved. No, it’s not just Austin. A lot of regional markets have changed quite a bit the past couple years coming out of the height of the pandemic. Any other larger or smaller metro areas seeing a lack of supply of quality masseurs relative to a few years ago? It will be a while, but I will visit TX sometime next year and Austin is definitely on my list! Capitano 1

He was pure therapeutic, at least for me. He was a good deep tissue. I have tried scheduling with Rico, but his quoted price was more than what he has listed. Even if I was coming to him. He was advertising only therapeutic at the time, and I wasn't asking for any additional services. So I got bad vibes and decided to pass at that time. Maybe there was miscommunication. I don't know.

I do hope to see you when you visit Texas again.
Hot4latin Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 (edited) Indeed. I’m headed to Austin and San Antonio in a week and hope to find some quality local talent while I’m there. Edited August 19, 2023 by Hot4latin

Perhaps a YMMV case then, because with Shad I left happy…and Rico, well, I got all the extras 😊 I’m not turned off by someone who only lists as therapeutic if the starting price isn’t outrageous, although MF doesn’t allow anything approaching sensual. Rico was traveling and his rate was a little higher, but still reasonable and he absolutely gave me my money’s worth. I do agree that if I reach out I want them to confirm the rate listed, but if that rate is $100, I don’t expect anything but a fully clothed, therapeutic massage. Dallas Jayson 1

I'm not turned off by people who list as therapeutic only. In fact, sometimes the surprise is part of the fun. Choosing one from MF is especially this way because they can't list one way or another, so sometimes you don't know until you are there on the table. I may give Rico another chance sometime. It just bothers me if you list one price on your ad, but that's not the price you quote when someone reaches out. There are some good masseurs still here that I can reach out to. I guess I'm just a bit sad that my favorites have moved on. Hope everyone has a great day!
J-BIGGIE Posted August 20, 2023 Posted August 20, 2023 There’s still a few here man but here’s a tip—you need to check the listings on masseur finder and rent masseur every 4-6 days, preferably during the weekdays. The dudes that have a good book of business don’t need to advertise but they’ll pop their heads up every so often and list if it’s starts to dip. I’ve found a few fucking studs with actual skills and the RMT thing over my decade + in ATX this way. One was a fucking god and gave me the best massage I’d ever had, strictly professional. Started going twice a month and at the third appointment I started feeling his hard piece against my arm and let’s just say we both left happy. Only got to see him six times after that bc my guy was moving to California. Still haven’t recovered and he ruined most other RMTs for me. back on subject—I never saw him advertise again. Met a few other of the RMTs that were also studs who only pop up here and there (mostly masseur finder). If they’re gay i pretty much would end up getting a HE or they’d blow me at the end. Probably wouldn’t happen now (thank you COVID for breaking my weightlifting obsession since HS football and now my bod is fucked haha). The “serious” RMTs don’t want the rep of being escorts (no sex shaming) nor do they want to feel obligated to Jack off every dude with $150 that walks in the door.
